Ashutosh Gokhale
Executive Vice President and CFO, MTSI
In June, Ashutosh Gokhale was sought after and selected to lead MTSI as executive vice president and CFO. Before joining MTSI, he had a successful career at HII Mission Technologies, where he played a pivotal role in realizing post-acquisition synergies, modernizing systems and restructuring the business to support long-term growth.
During Gokhale’s tenure, HII achieved multiple consecutive quarters of organic revenue expansion, culminating in Mission Technologies surpassing $3 billion in revenue in 2025.
To MTSI, Gokhale brings a wealth of experience in areas like M&A, organic growth, modernization and compliance. His expertise in these areas will be directly applicable at MTSI, a 100% ESOP company.
“We welcome Ashutosh Gokhale as our new executive vice president and chief financial officer,” said Kevin Robinson, MTSI president and CEO.
“As MTSI continues its growth trajectory, Ashutosh’s leadership, financial expertise and strategic perspective will help position the company for continued success while advancing its mission to solve the nation’s most technically challenging defense and security problems,” Robinson said.
MTSI is also focused on strengthening government mission outcomes through disciplined financial management and operational efficiency. It maximizes the impact of taxpayer dollars by maintaining low indirect costs. The design of its automation and standardization initiatives enhances scalability as opposed to reducing headcount, while sustaining competitive indirect rates.
Why Watch
Gokhale joins MTSI at a pivotal moment in the company’s trajectory. After several years of remarkable expansion, MTSI is entering a new phase, one that requires disciplined investment and strategic foresight to accelerate its growth momentum. Gokhale will play a central role in shaping this next chapter by developing a capital investment strategy that balances opportunistic investments with long‑term, sustainable value creation.
Gokhale is equally focused on strengthening the company’s operational backbone. He is a strong advocate for greater automation and standardization across finance and all support functions.
“If the company is to continue its growth, finance and all support functions must incorporate efficiency-enhancing automation,” Ashutosh said. “AI certainly offers more ways of automation. However, every automation doesn’t need to revolve around AI.”
Gokhale intends to develop a comprehensive automation roadmap for the finance organization, one designed to elevate efficiency, improve consistency and position the company for continued success.
Fun fact: Despite being surrounded by golf enthusiasts, Gokhale has never taken a swing with a golf club. Whenever he considers giving it a shot, he says his swimming gear and his bicycle gang up and yell, “Pick us instead!”
