Ryan Garner
CFO, Everforth ECS
As CFO, Ryan Garner reorganized Everforth ECS to be account-focused and helped to build investment for a centralized growth and technology group. The changes position the company to build on its specialized capabilities and compete for larger, more complex contracts, supporting continued growth.
Garner also instituted several operational changes, including standard PMRs, standardized recruiting reporting, Monte Carlo analysis, and expanded risk identification and mitigation processes. This has allowed Everforth ECS to continue to grow key profitability metrics like gross profit and gross margin.
He helped to increase the company’s deployment of AI and business analytics across the business. “We have deployed, or will deploy by the end of the year, three discrete AI bots to help change the way we interface with our own systems and data and streamline how we create ad hoc financial reporting and improve our core processes,” Garner said.
The finance and contracts team is also focused on helping government clients move towards a more fixed-price delivery model by improving program delivery. They have enhanced internal investments for prototypes and fully baked solutions for customers, rather than PowerPoint slides and theories.
Why Watch
Garner and his team remain focused on increasing their project control expertise, enabling them to execute programs better, enhance delivery to clients, drive revenue growth and expand margins.
They are also finalizing the investment framework to allow Everforth ECS to better align tangible and intangible returns of its CapEx/R&D program. This will increase growth, technical and recruiting teams, while driving improved cost management.
And lastly, they’re working to further develop AI into the business. The finance team has been partnering with the CIO shop to bring multiple instances of AI into the enterprise systems. This will expand in FY27 as they look to fully automate tasks and improve performance efficiency.
“Everforth ECS’ continued success depends on our ability to evolve without losing sight of who we are,” Garner said. “I’m proud of how our teams have met every challenge with creativity, accountability, and an unwavering focus on the mission.”
Fun fact: Garner is one of the very few people in his demographic who think Metallica is overrated.
