Maysam Tawasha
Vice President of Army Navy Business Group, SAIC
Maysam Tawasha and her team are advancing critical Navywide mission needs rapidly and in expedited timelines, ensuring warfighters are 100% ready, 100% of the time, she said.
“We have quickly delivered transport and data management infrastructure across global platforms and shore-based installations in a matter of weeks, not years,” she said.
Take, for example, a project initially quoted to take over a year. The SAIC team designed, deployed and operationalized a large next-generation network system locally in under 90 days, she said. They’ve also recently sped deployment of new transport capabilities to afloat platforms with one use case fielding from three platforms a month to more than 11 platforms a month.
“We’re helping the Department of War operate more efficiently by modernizing systems with scalable commercial technologies and data-driven insights, all while maximizing the value of their existing investments,” Tawasha added. “By integrating proven innovation from all across the technology ecosystem — from startups to hyperscalers — we help armed forces and agencies streamline operations, reduce complexity and make faster, more informed decisions.”
Tawasha said SAIC teams also remain committed to rapidly deploying and scaling mission-ready solutions through operational AI and digital engineering capabilities to ensure warfighters have the tools to compete and win, freeing them to effortlessly and seamlessly span their joint-mission needs across multiple systems without hesitation or roadblocks.
Why Watch
In 2026, Tawasha and her team are laser-focused on accelerating C5ISR mission execution, maximum warfighting efficiency and kill chain closure through the newly established systems and approaches. They’re engaging directly with various joint forces and Portfolio Acquisition Executive Mission System pillar leaders to provide the Navy and Army with a decisive information advantage by delivering secure digital experiences across existing and new transport solutions, anytime and anywhere.
“I am incredibly proud of the way our team has embraced innovation and collaboration to deliver mission-ready solutions that strengthen our nation’s defense,” Tawasha said. “Our collective drive, disciplined execution and unwavering commitment have not only advanced the mission but set new benchmarks for excellence and purpose-driven impact. Together, we are breaking barriers, inspiring progress and achieving results that position us as industry leaders.”
As DOW accelerates toward all-domain warfighting and CJADC2 implementation, Tawasha bridges enterprise innovation to the tactical edge, said Barbara Supplee, SAIC executive vice president of the Army Navy Business Group.
“Maysam possesses that rare and invaluable combination of strategic foresight and absolute operational discipline,” Supplee said. “Her vision isn’t just about adopting next-generation technology; it’s about practically and seamlessly transitioning those capabilities to the warfighter. Her unwavering drive ensures that our Army and Navy teams are equipped with the advanced C5ISR and digital engineering solutions they need to maintain an operational edge. She is a powerhouse leader who consistently turns complex mission requirements into tangible, field-ready success.”
Fun fact: Tawasha served as captain of her high school and college basketball teams, teaching her discipline, resilience and purpose‑driven impact — traits she uses daily as a leader at SAIC.
