David R. Shedd spent a career at the intersection of intelligence and national security, including serving as acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. This summer, he’s heading to Panama to tour the canal, planning to add two or three mentees and pursuing a deeper understanding of AI and quantum — specifically the opportunities and vulnerabilities each represents to U.S. security.
He’s the next guest in WashingtonExec’s Summer Q&A Series, where we ask government leaders five questions about how they recharge, stay sharp and keep the mission moving during the year’s most relaxed season.
