Leidos has won an Army contract to continue providing the Airborne Reconnaissance and Targeting Exploitation Multi-Mission Intelligence System, which delivers deployable airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities across Europe and where needed.
The award is valued at up to $127 million and extends ARTEMIS ISR operations in the U.S. European Command area through the summer of 2027, with two additional option years.
Leidos has supported this mission since 2020.
“ARTEMIS combines the flexibility of commercial aircraft with military-grade sensing to deliver timely intelligence wherever commanders need it,” said Jason McCarthy, Leidos senior vice president, Airborne & Mission Solutions.
“As threats continue to evolve, we’re providing the Army with a proven, rapidly deployable ISR capability that helps commanders stay ahead of the fight and make decisions with greater confidence.”
Leidos provides a contractor-owned, contractor-operated ISR capability that is built around a modified Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft, while providing mission systems, flight crews and support services.
First fielded as a technology demonstrator, ARTEMIS has since become a high-altitude ISR platform that the Army can deploy across multiple regions. This award builds on Leidos’ NorthStar 2030 strategy and expands its Defense Tech and Mission & Digital Solutions portfolio.
The contract was issued through the Army’s Common Hardware Systems-6 contract.
