    Amy Foy, STR

    Amy Foy

Senior Vice President, Contracts & Supply Chain, STR

At the beginning of the year, Amy Foy realized she was ready for her next career opportunity.

“As leaders, we focus so much on our teams and companies driving their objectives, results and supporting their growth that we sometimes lose sight of what we need as individuals,” she said.

Foy had brought her entire team with her through a divestiture journey and felt a tremendous sense of loyalty to them, but also recognized that she was ready for a change and a new role based in Boston so she could spend more time with her real biggest achievement — her children. She also valued less time on the road, and said it took courage to acknowledge that.

“I had to listen to the same advice I’ve given many others over the years and be honest about what I needed personally,” Foy said. “Making that decision — and acting on it — was a significant achievement for me as a leader and as an individual, and it led me to my current role at STR leading the Contracts & Supply Chain team.”

Foy said STR is also helping government customers operate more efficiently. A contract deeply affects both the customer and the company, she said, and is “one of the only areas that truly connects both sides of the table and all functions across customer and contractor.”

STR can help customers move faster and scale more effectively, particularly in tech‑enabled services that combine reusable software, hardware and mission expertise. STR is focused on faster contracting and procurement cycles to keep pace with mission needs; and reliable, resilient supply chains that reduce schedule and performance risk while delivering strong, consistent results.

    Why Watch

Foy is three months into her new role and focused on transforming Contracts & Supply Chain into a strategic enabler for growth, speed and mission impact. That means strengthening people, processes and technology so the team can support faster execution, scalable delivery and better alignment with customer needs — directly enabling STR to achieve its strategy and growth objectives.

Foy and her team are also focused on strengthening relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers at all levels, as stronger, more effective relationships will lead to better outcomes.

“Amy is focused on what matters most to STR — our customers and our employees,” said Mark Luettgen, president and CEO of STR. “By strengthening these relationships at all levels and combining that with her strong leadership and results‑oriented drive, STR is better positioned to quickly deliver improved outcomes for our customers, our people, our partners and our shareholders.”

Fun fact: Foy loves spending one-on-one time with her kids. She and her daughter Mya enjoy going to concerts and Broadway shows. In the last year, they’ve seen Morgan, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams and Olivia Dean, as well as “Wicked,” “Six” and “Beauty and the Beast.” She and her son JR love to golf and go to games to cheer on the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox, or college teams.
