    Andy Green, HII

HII’s Mission Technologies division has won a $2.2 billion contract to deliver advanced Surveillance, Tracking, Intelligence, Network Services, Global Reconnaissance, Analysis, and Interceptions to support the U.S. Southern Command.

These STINGRAI services will help SOUTHCOM detect, monitor and disrupt illicit activity across Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

The task order was awarded under the General Services Administration’s ASTRO Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract, and has a period of performance of one base year with six option years.

“This award is an incredible opportunity and goes right to the heart of what SOUTHCOM needs — clearer visibility, faster decision making, and the ability to stay ahead of rapidly changing threats,” said Andy Green, executive vice president of HII and president of HII’s Mission Technologies division.

“Our team understands the complexity of this region, and we’re proud to support the command with solutions that help protect U.S. interests and strengthen security across the hemisphere.”

Under the contract, HII will lead a team supporting SOUTHCOM and partner nations with intelligence-gathering capabilities, advanced technologies and adaptable innovative all-domain platforms to advance operational readiness and preparedness.

The program supports SOUTHCOM’s efforts to counter transnational criminal organizations, drug cartels and trafficking networks while allowing commanders to respond to emerging threats and regional security dynamics. Ultimately, these integrated intelligence and reconnaissance capabilities are critical to defending the nation and its interests, the company said.
