Kymeta has appointed former senior intelligence official Elizabeth Kimber as its new chief growth officer.
“Beth’s appointment as Chief Growth Officer marks an important step in Kymeta’s strategy to accelerate growth across defense and government markets,” said Manny Mora, CEO of Kymeta.
“Beth brings an exceptional depth of experience across the national security and intelligence communities, with a first-hand understanding of the complex operational challenges facing today’s operatives. Her insight into evolving mission requirements, and the critical role of advanced communications in delivering operational advantage, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence within the U.S. Department of War.”
Kimber will lead efforts to align Kymeta’s communications technology with customers’ mission needs and expand its national security business. She moves into the role after serving on the company’s board of advisors since 2024.
“With demand for secure, resilient multi-orbit, multi-band connectivity accelerating, Beth will play a pivotal role in strengthening our strategic partnerships, deepening engagement with national security customers and ensuring Kymeta’s technology delivers mission-critical capabilities where they are needed most,” Mora added.
Kimber spent 37 years at the CIA, most recently as deputy director for operations, where she oversaw the agency’s worldwide foreign human intelligence operations and covert action missions.
She also served as CIA acting deputy director, assistant director of CIA for Europe and Eurasia, deputy director of the National Clandestine Service, and chief, Special Operations Department, Counterterrorism Center.
Kimber brings 18 years of field experience, including assignments as chief of station and director of National Intelligence Representative. After her career in the intelligence community, she was vice president of intelligence community strategy at Two Six Technologies.
“Having worked closely with Kymeta over the past two years, I have seen first-hand the potential of its metamaterials technology to address some of the most pressing, modern communications and RF challenges facing our defense and intel communities today,” said Kimber.
“In national security operations, secure, resilient and reliable connectivity is a mission-critical necessity. Kymeta is redefining what’s possible for mobile and resilient communications and is uniquely positioned to deliver the capabilities required to operate effectively in increasingly complex and contested environments.
“I’m proud to be part of a company that delivers real operational advantage to those who serve and I look forward to building on our strong relationships across the defense and intelligence communities – aligning our technology with evolving operational requirements and accelerating the delivery of capabilities that make a tangible difference to mission success.”
