The Building People has appointed Denise Mattison as CGO.
Mattison will help strengthen the company’s market position, expand customer and partner relationships, and build on the momentum across its technology, buildings and people solutions.
“Denise Mattison brings the combination of strategic thinking, federal market expertise, operational discipline, and people-centered leadership that we believe is critical to our next stage of growth,” said Lawrence Melton, CEO and president of The Building People.
“She understands that sustainable growth requires more than pursuing opportunities. It takes strong customer relationships, the right partnerships and contract vehicles, disciplined processes, and talented people working together. Her experience building those capabilities at scale will be a tremendous asset to The Building People.”
Mattison has over 17 years of experience supporting the federal market. She began her career in the U.S. Intelligence Community before transitioning to industry and federal government contracting.
She most recently served as vice president of corporate development at Akima, where she helped build and scale growth capabilities, establish a contract vehicle management function, and strengthen proposal operations, sales enablement, acquisition strategy, analytics and technology.
Earlier in her career, Mattison held program and contract vehicle leadership roles with BAE Systems Intelligence and Security.
