CGI Federal has released its Momentum Enterprise Suite, introducing updates to its built-for-federal financial, acquisition and budget management system.
Momentum 8.4 enhancements include expanded automation, AI-driven insights and streamlined workflows for federal agencies. The system is meant to increase efficiency, improve operational performance, ease compliance burden and enhance user experience, the company said.
“Federal agencies are looking to modernize core operations while navigating evolving requirements and increasing demands for efficiency,” said Kerry Canfield, vice president at CGI Federal. “Momentum 8.4 expands automation and compliance capabilities while introducing user-centric enhancements designed to reduce operational complexity across federal supporting functions.”
Momentum 8.4 adds AI-backed conversational analytics to help federal agencies access and interpret data. The release also includes updated tools for managing unliquidated obligations and commitments, aimed at making better use of unused funds, along with automated recommendations for credit card reconciliation.
The release adds integration with GO.gov, the federal travel management system, to process travel authorizations, vouchers and advances. CGI Federal said Momentum 8.4 is the first core financial system on Treasury’s Financial Management Quality Service Management Office Marketplace to offer that integration as a commercial off-the-shelf capability. Other compliance updates include payment justification features and integration with the IRS Information Returns Intake System.
Momentum 8.4 also introduces six workspaces for budget execution, automated matching, intra-governmental transactions, ordering, credit card reconciliation and travel management. The updated suite is now available to all federal agencies.
