Nicole Peace
Chief People Officer, AIS
In 2026, Nicole Peace set the vision for a full-scale transformation of AIS’ people practices, leading her People Operations team in executing eight major initiatives spanning performance management, career development, compensation, recognition, wellness, internal mobility and learning and development.
Central to the transformation was the introduction of AIS Success Commitments, a shared set of expectations for every employee, regardless of role, centered on continued learning, career development, workforce data, timekeeping and compliance.
The results are already measurable: 95% participation in quarterly development conversations, more than 98% on-time timecard and compliance training completion, and more than 250 new Microsoft certifications in under three months, putting AIS on track to achieve a 100% Microsoft-certified workforce by the end of 2026, Peace said.
“I am incredibly proud of our People Operations team,” she added. “We entered 2026 with an ambitious vision to meaningfully enhance the employee experience at AIS this year, knowing that delivering it would require significant organizational transformation and thoughtful change management. Not only has the team brought that vision to life, we’re already seeing it become part of how AIS operates — with strong adoption and measurable, data-backed results demonstrating the impact of this work.”
AIS also helps government customers operate more efficiently by bringing together top industry talent with a culture of continuous learning. Peace and her team focus not only on attracting exceptional talent, but on continually expanding the learning, certification and development opportunities that keep their skills ahead of evolving customer needs.
That investment ensures AIS teams are equipped to deliver innovative cloud, AI, application modernization and data solutions that improve efficiency and advance customer missions.
Why Watch
As Peace and her team execute this significant transformation and launch new people initiatives across AIS, they have remained anchored in two principles: intent and transparency. Every people practice is examined to ensure it accomplishes what it was designed to do, and that employees clearly understand how decisions are made and how opportunities are accessed, she said.
Whether it’s policies, compensation, promotions or learning, the goal is to remove ambiguity and give employees a clear understanding of how to navigate and grow at AIS.
