Tria Federal has won a 4-year, $120 million task order by the Veterans Affairs Department to expand support for the Veterans Health Administration’s community care operations.
The award was issued under the Veterans Health Administration, Veteran Community Care Program Support Blanket Purchase Agreement.
“The Department of Veterans Affairs faces relentless pressure to do more with less, while holding to a standard of care that Veterans have earned through service,” said Tim Borchert, CEO of Tria Federal.
“This award reflects the trust VA has placed in our team for more than a decade, and our shared commitment to making sure every Veteran reaches the right care, through the right provider, at the right cost.”
Tria Federal has worked with the VHA’s programs for over 20 years, including the VHA’s community care program for over 10 years. During its most recent 5-year BPA, the company supported requirements development, acquisition strategy and proposal preparation for large VHA community care contracts.
When Tria first began supporting this work, VHA’s annual community care expenditure was under $2 billion. Today, that program exceeds $50 billion annually, the company said.
This new task order supports VHA’s implementation of its next generation of community care healthcare and ancillary contracts. New work areas include contracts oversight, clinical and program advisory support, network performance monitoring, utilization management, and alternative payment model development.
“This isn’t just a contract renewal, it’s a mandate to help VHA build what Veterans need today and for the future,” said Jeffery Brabant, vice president of Military & Veteran Health, who leads Tria’s community care program support team.
“VHA operates one of the most complex health enterprises in the world and has brought in the right leaders and vision to transform it. Our job is to provide the expertise and tools to make that transformation real for Veterans.”
Tria’s work directly supports VHA’s Restructure for Impact and Sustainability Effort.
