Everforth ECS has won a contract expansion for the Chief Digital and AI Office’s Secure Unclassified Network, following over 10 years of support for the program.
The 3-year, sole-source indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a ceiling of $148 million.
The company was also selected under a Commercial Solutions Opening to research and prototype next-gen capabilities for SUNet 2.0.
The work includes continuing to manage and maintain the operational environment and the transition of mission capabilities to future SUNet architecture.
“These awards represent the next chapter of a mission we have supported alongside the Department of War and its mission partners for more than a decade,” said Donnie Scott, president of Everforth ECS.
“While we continue to keep SUNet secure and responsive to the mission, we will also help transition to what comes next. By bringing our operational knowledge together with modern cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and AI capabilities, we can provide CDAO and its mission partners a faster, more secure way to experiment, collaborate, and turn emerging technologies into operational capability.”
Everforth ECS was selected to prototype SUNet 2.0 on behalf of the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering and the CDAO, the company said. SUNet 2.0 will provide DOW organizations with a secure digital environment to develop, test and validate emerging AI/ML capabilities.
“Our many years supporting SUNet have taught us our users’ challenges, what they’re constrained by, and what actually moves their mission forward,” said Brian Orsi, CDAO account lead at Everforth ECS.
“That experience is shaping every part of this modernization, with the goal of giving mission partners a faster, more secure way to test, integrate, and operationalize emerging capabilities.”
Everforth ECS will continue operating SUNet for current users for the DOW while developing SUNet 2.0 as a secure environment for testing AI and machine learning tools. The modernization effort will examine hybrid cloud infrastructure, zero trust security and data management approaches aimed at speeding up user onboarding and moving tested capabilities into use.
