    John Heller, Amentum

Amentum CEO John Heller will be honored on Nov. 5 at this year’s 2026 Mike Daniels Technology Good Scout Awards Luncheon, an annual Scouting event that recognizes exceptional leaders from the Greater Washington, D.C., technology community.

The award is given each year to someone who lives out the values of the Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives in ways that celebrate integrity, service and leadership.

The luncheon brings together top executives, innovators and changemakers in the tech sector that support Scouting America’s National Capital Area Council and its mission to build character and leadership in today’s youth.

Last year’s recipient was Toni Townes-Whitley, former CEO of SAIC.

The luncheon begins with an 11:30 a.m. reception at Capital One Hall in Tysons, Virginia, and is followed by lunch and a program. The event also raises funds for the work of the National Capital Area Council.

Past luncheons have sold out in advance, and participants are invited to register as soon as possible to ensure a seat.
