Systems Planning & Analysis has launched its Advanced Analytics Lab, a center of excellence that combines company experts, analytical methods and technologies to address national security mission challenges.
SPA first announced its expansion in September 2025 with the purchase of its 239,000-square-foot Alexandria, Virginia, headquarters. It’s now home to the 14,400-square-foot Advanced Analytics Lab.
“Our expansion was an investment in more than our physical footprint,” said SPA CEO Rich Sawchak. “We committed to giving our people the technology, resources, and environment to advance our clients’ most important missions. The Advanced Analytics Lab puts that commitment into action by bringing our people and technology together to strengthen how we deliver for our clients.”
The lab provides a secure environment for SPA teams to work on mission engineering, operations analysis and strategic advisory efforts. It creates opportunities for teams and clients to work together on complex analysis and gives clients real-time visibility into the work they’re involved in.
SPA teams use the lab for defense and national security missions from seabed to space, including cross-domain kinetic, non-kinetic and cyber warfare assessments. The lab also allows SPA teams to apply advanced technologies like SPA GCAM, SPA ArcherEye and SPA AthenaSight with other modeling, simulation and analytical tools, the company said.
“SPA’s role as a trusted agent to our government clients is grounded in the extensive expertise and judgment our people bring to complex mission challenges,” said SPA Chief Capability Officer Mark Adams.
“The Advanced Analytics Lab gives those experts an environment to work differently, strengthening how we analyze problems and deliver insight to our clients’ most critical missions.”
