Alicia Freeman
Senior Vice President of Contracts & Procurement, ViaPath Technologies
Alicia Freeman recently led the successful implementation and adoption of ViaPath’s contract lifecycle management platform while driving enterprise-wide compliance with major Federal Communications Commission regulatory changes.
Her team resolved hundreds of contract and customer data issues, standardized records, and developed new operating procedures and user guides that improved data integrity, reporting accuracy and cross-functional visibility. In parallel, she led implementation of new FCC requirements across the portfolio, overseeing more than 800 contracts and 400 amendments within the required 120-day compliance window.
“Alicia provided exceptional leadership in driving a tremendous effort to achieve compliance with the new FCC regulatory requirements,” said John Pitsenberger, executive vice president, CFO and treasurer at ViaPath Technologies. “Her focus on cost, cash outcomes and customer service has had a significant impact on the business, and she consistently sets the tone for excellence across her organization.”
ViaPath Technologies is also helping government customers operate more efficiently by streamlining contract management with its contract lifecycle management platform. This has improved data integrity, reporting accuracy and cross-functional visibility while reducing manual effort and supporting faster, more informed decision-making.
Why Watch
In 2026, Freeman and her team are focused on accelerating the responsible adoption of AI across contracts and procurement to improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making and standardize processes. They are leveraging AI to identify opportunities for cost avoidance, spend optimization and process improvement while maintaining strong human oversight and governance.
They are also building team capability through targeted training and practical learning, while implementing high-value use cases and a centralized prompt repository to drive consistency, scalability and measurable business impact.
“I’m proud to lead one of the highest-performing contracts and procurement teams in the business,” Freeman said. “Meeting the new FCC regulatory requirements in 2025 required tremendous effort, and our success reflects this team’s long hours, persistence and professional excellence.”
Fun fact: Freeman began her academic career as a biology major, aspiring to become a physician or scientist. Although her career ultimately led her into contracts and procurement, the analytical discipline and critical thinking skills she developed through scientific study have remained foundational to her success. She still relies on evidence-based decision-making, rigorous analysis and validating conclusions with facts rather than assumptions — skills that serve her well in contracts, negotiations and regulatory compliance.
