Vice President, Contracts and Procurement, SAIC
When SAIC recently integrated two teams to support the total acquisition lifecycle for the Air Force, Space Force and national intelligence markets, Sarah L. Getty led the way.
The integrations required fostering cohesiveness between distinct groups with unique skills, workflows and processes. By developing and executing a detailed integration plan, Getty ensured that all team members aligned under a shared vision: supporting and advancing critical mission objectives for high-priority defense and intelligence customers.
Ravi Modi, SAIC’s Air Force, Space, and Intelligence Business Group’s chief of finance and operations, said Getty has made exceptional contributions to the Group while demonstrating dedication and integrity as she navigates new contract acquisition strategies.
“Sarah also played an integral role in SAIC’s successful SilverEdge acquisition and integration within the national intel market,” Modi said. “Sarah is a wonderful and committed leader who consistently delivers successful outcomes for every project undertaken.”
Why Watch
In 2026, Getty’s team is heavily focused on continuously aligning strategies with the swiftly evolving government landscape, the transition to firm-fixed-price contracts, and the government’s new and innovative buying methodologies beyond the traditional Federal Acquisition Regulation-based options. As the government prioritizes efficiency and cost accountability, SAIC’s emphasis is on cultivating agile processes and solutions that not only meet current contracting demands but also anticipate future needs.
This includes enhancing capabilities to operate effectively within FFP contract structures where managing risk and optimizing resource allocation will be critical. It also includes deploying buying methods that streamline acquisition processes, reduce administrative burdens, and create value for mission-critical programs.
By fostering collaboration with stakeholders and leveraging best practices, Getty helps create scalable approaches that align with FFP frameworks while enhancing efficiency at every step of the acquisition lifecycle. Her goal is to ensure customers achieve sustainable results, even in an increasingly complex contracting environment.
“Balancing the unique challenges of a quickly evolving government landscape and the transition to FFP contracts requires innovation, adaptability and dedication,” Getty said. “Whether it’s leading high-performing teams to support mission-critical objectives for the Air Force, Space Force and national intelligence markets, or driving efficiency through new buying methodologies, I take pride in delivering solutions that make a measurable impact.”
Fun fact: Getty and her husband enjoy home renovation, and they are tackling a bathroom redesign that required demolishing the entire space and starting from scratch. She also has a passion for gardening, making it a personal mission to keep fresh-cut flowers from her garden in her house from April through October. Between her role at SAIC, remodeling, gardening and attempting to keep up with her two daughters, there is never a dull moment.
