Aurex has appointed Bob Jurenko as vice president of business development to expand opportunities, engage new customers and shape initiatives that represent the company’s growing range of products and capabilities.

Jurenko brings expertise in emerging technologies and commercial aerospace to the role. He most recently served as director of hypersonic & strategic defense programs at Firefly Aerospace, a U.S. based aerospace company.

“Bob Jurenko is an innovator at his core with a rare ability to translate deep aerospace and defense expertise into customer-focused growth strategies,” said Dominick Barry, COO at Aurex.

“We are thrilled to welcome him to our team. His understanding of the defense landscape, and where it is headed, will be invaluable as Aurex helps shape the industry’s future.”

Aurex recently showcased its portfolio of products and delivered new hypersonic development and testing capabilities at the annual Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama. Jurenko will help connect those solutions with customers and identify opportunities to deliver mission-ready solutions for evolving defense needs, the company said.

“Engineering the Edge of Possible is not just an aspiration – it’s the reality of how Aurex operates,” said Jurenko.

“I’m excited to bring a perspective shaped across academia, government, and industry to a team that understands the importance of speed, agility, and affordability, especially at a time when our nation needs companies that can perform and reliably deliver advanced aerospace and defense solutions when they are needed most.”
